Roro terminal Cobelfret

 

The project includes the construction of a 60 ha terminal and four berths in the Sloehaven area in the port of Flushing, Zeeland Seaports. The terminal will be used for car handling and storage, ro-ro traffic as well as containers.


The work includes:

  • 60 ha paved area
  • dredging of the harbour basin and construction of slope and sea-bed protection
  • two jetties for ro-ro vessels
  • a rail terminal with three tracks
  • office buildings, workshop, gate house
  • lighting, storm water drainage, sewerage, water supply, fire fighting system, security system and communication sytems

Cobelfret contracted Lievense for the project management, permitting procedures, design and supervision of the civil works. Lievense, on behalf of Zeeland Seaports, also designed the dredging and coastal protection works.
