Cruise Terminal Flushing, Quick Scan Study

 

Zeeland Cruise Port is an organization that promotes development and expansion of both seagoing and river based cruise activities in Zeeland, the Dutch south-west delta. A Quick Scan was carried out for Zeeland Seaports to investigate possibilities for accommodation of cruise ships in the Buitenhaven (outer harbour). Ambitions and development plans were matched with the expected future cruise market and with the attractions of Flushing. The advice is a consideration of nautical, technical and spatial aspects. Challenges for this project will be navigability in the basin, policy of the port authority and limitations for noise sources.
