Natural Gasline crossing Western Scheldt

The project entails laying of a 28” diameter natural gas pipeline across the Western Scheldt river near Saeftinghe. The total length of the pipelineproject is approximately 8km including a ‘wet’ section of 2,5 km.
A temporary artificial island was built half way the crossing. Two horizontal drillings, each 1250 m long, were carried out from a platform, which was moored besides the artificial island. Both drillings were connected at the artificial island.
